Here it goes,
Was looking for challenges in my hobby life and never thought I would get to Helicopter Rc. It all came when I got contact to do some photoshoot of some fully scale compagny Helicopters services in my location area. I'm happy with this new direction I took. It was also a career decision to master Rc Helicopter to be use later in my filmmaker D.O.P services as a flying Heli camera capture machine in the Films Industries sector. Its a start and I'm happy of the idea result till now...
Later to be purchase for the use of camera equipments,, a 1/5 scale LAMA SA-315B Turbine... But for now, The LAMA SA-315B (30size) Body fuse.
So I got to look at some wonderfull Heli's in todays world of Rc, and got very impress with this fully scale LAMA SA-315B kit flying path and work horse babe on a fiew private forums. So I got around looking on who sales these in my country.
Found the distributor,, he had only good to saying about this beast LAMA and he as sold many with the original mechanic 2 blades. But I was in for the fully scale view of this LAMA and so I was on for a idea to have the LAMA with the MBR-III rotorhead 3 blades conversion system.
So I have my order LAMA answer 2 days a go,, with the 3 blades rotorhead system for now. The LAMA (Suisse version) is the one kit sold with the MRB-III rotorhead system,, but you could choose the other LAMA version also to make it 3 blades system,, but it will cost you a little bite more for that choice,, as it is sold right now with the Suisse version at the moment.
It should arrive in 2 weeks,,, And I have already prepare the Helipath for the LAMA that will be locate in our backyard country home estate. I will add some landing Helipath lights in each corner of the Helipath plate, so it will look very impressive at sunset while I will approach for a landing...
My buddies from the Helicopters compagny next door that fly some helicopters there will have a ball to see my Helipath from the air,,, as they are flying over head on their approach flying path. I'm sure next time they land on our estate they will position their Helicopter on my Helipath and have a laught while doing so. They sure are great friends,, and they do land when the feel to have a thea and my MOM home made cookies.
Eachtime they do that,,, They know I'll be the one on the commander seat who will fly back the Heli to base next door. That is how I got to lear how to fly Fully scale Helicopters... I'm a licences pilot my self...

For the last few days I've been trying to start our brand new Zenoah G-38 2 cycle gas engine.
I've got spark- compression-and fresh fuel.
When I pull the spark plug and stick a pencil in the hole to find Top Dead Center.
It appears that the timing is way off looking at the magnets on the flywheel.
I'm trying to handstart it as we are shy a mounting bolt for the nose cone
so we could use the electric starter.
I've followed the instructions and have the prop set so that magnets are near the pickup coil.
We can get the prop to spin about 90 degrees by hand but it seems to need more rpm.
I've run plenty of chainsaws and weed wackers but they have a pull cord for starting and they spin at least 3 turns- that is what I need.
any thoughts?

Merlin sparked an idea that Mr. Buckner had brought to my attention so long ago in Kingman. I know it's been done before, but probably not on this site. How about we send a little pilot bear/ etc. around to all of us and post the shot of the bear in each of our planes at our respective flying sites. Should be quite an accomplishment to get the bear around to all of us. and especially across the pond to Merlin or to Austalia to fly with Wombat. What do you all think, Can it be done?
I'm at a rather advanced stage of scratchbuilding a .60 size scale bipe from 1968.
The wings according to the plans, are attached with rubber bands.
Do you prefer to "modernize" to nylon bolts or do you prefer to build such an old design exactly as per plan? (I am building for sport flying, no contest work).
I was wondering if anybody can give any direction on what I need to do to get a new club started in my area. I looked at the AMA website, but the section I need was under construction. Any tips?
